Film: Fools on the Hill
Northampton Committee to Stop War 2nd and 4th Wednesdays film series. Free and accessible. Discussion follows.
Fools on the Hill is a sometimes humorous, heartbreaking expose of the collapse of our political systems.
Concerned citizen and filmmaker Jerrol LeBaron tries to get a law on the books in North Dakota to require politicians to certify they have read the bills before they vote on them. The proposed law also would provide time for the public to review the final version of the bill so that citizens can see whose fingers are in the pie and take appropriate action before the bill gets passed.
