Local Author Series Kickoff with Mike Curato!
We're thrilled to kick off Forbes Library's new Local Author Series with the award-winning children's author and illustrator, Mike Curato!
Join us for a book reading, a live interactive drawing demonstration, a brief slideshow explaining Mike's process and back story, and Q&A. Mike's books, including his new releases Little Elliot, Fall Friends and All the Way to Havana, will be available for purchase and he will sign and personalize books after the program. The event is recommended for children ages 4 to 12.
The Children's and YA Author Series is generously sponsored by the Friends of Forbes Library.
About the Author
Mike is the critically acclaimed author of the Little Elliot series. He also illustrated All the Way to Havana (recipient of four starred reviews) and Worm Loves Worm, and is a contributor to the Eric Carle & Friends book What's Your Favorite Color? Publishers Weekly named Mike a "Fall 2014 Flying Start" and in the same year he won the Society of Illustrators Original Art Show Founder's Award.
