Dramatic Reading of Getting Out
A staged reading by the Holyoke Community College Theatre Department of Getting Out, a play by Marsha Norman, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for ’Night, Mother. Getting Out is the story of Arlene, a woman struggling to survive on the outside after being incarcerated for eight years in a Kentucky prison. The guards, prison officials, and her former self (Arlie) all appear on stage in flashbacks.
