[OFF SITE] Paradise City Readers: The Library of Lost and Found
**This month's meeting is off-site since the library is closed for Labor Day:
We remain open even when the library is closed! Let’s all meet at The Coffee Chat, 71 Pleasant St, Northampton at 6.30. We'll talk mostly about the appropriately named The Library of Lost and Found by Phaedra Patrick. Pay little attention to their website on that day. The Coffee Chat WILL be open. They WILL NOT be doing coffee service. If you're wondering where this is: it is the former Mimmo's Pizza building. If you're wondering how: Karim, the owner, is very nice to let us use his space. If you're wondering something else please contact rorlanskATyahoo.com with questions. As always it helps to read the book. But you can easily read 75 pages (or less) and we'll all have a Happy Labor Day together. We hope to see you there!
Free Parking on holidays, plenty of interesting discussion but no pizza.**
Paradise City Readers is a small inclusive community of readers. We get together to talk about a diversity of books, written by a variety of authors, and an even wider range of topics. On the first Monday of every month we assemble for discussion inspired by a selected book. You don’t have to read the entire book to join with us. You really don’t have to read even part of the book at the center of our gathering. But it does help. All are warmly welcome.
This month's discussion will be about The Library of Lost and Found by Phaedra Patrick.
About the book:
Librarian Martha Storm has always found it easier to connect with books than people—though not for lack of trying. She keeps careful lists of how to help others in her superhero-themed notebook. And yet, sometimes it feels like she’s invisible. All of that changes when a book of fairy tales arrives on her doorstep. Inside, Martha finds a dedication written to her by her best friend—her grandmother Zelda—who died under mysterious circumstances years earlier. When Martha discovers a clue within the book that her grandmother may still be alive, she becomes determined to discover the truth. As she delves deeper into Zelda’s past, she unwittingly reveals a family secret that will change her life forever. Filled with Phaedra Patrick’s signature charm and vivid characters, The Library of Lost and Found is a heartwarming and poignant tale of how one woman must take control of her destiny to write her own happy ending.
