Cinema Northampton returns with free outdoor screenings of Studio Ghibli films on the Library Lawn!
This year's schedule:
Friday, July 12 (Arts Night Out) - "My Neighbor Totoro," 9PM
Wednesday, August 14 - "Spirited Away," 8:30PM
Friday, August 30 - "Kiki's Delivery Service," 8PM
Screentimes are based on when the sun sets, as the film cannot be seen before dark. The public are welcome to bring their own food, friends, bug spray, and lawn chairs. Bathrooms will be open in the library. Subtitles will be on.
Cinema Northampton began in 2013 to bring free movie screenings to the community. It was started by Northampton Community Television (now Northampton Open Media),and has grown to include the Northampton Arts Council, Forbes Library, and the Northampton Parks and Recreation Department.
