Book Discussion: "The Personal Librarian" with the Friends of Forbes Library
Join us for a book discussion of The Personal Librarian on Thursday, October 10, in advance of the Friends of Forbes Library trip to the Morgan Library & Museum in New York City to see the special exhibit "Belle da Costa Greene: A Librarian's Legacy,"
This remarkable work of historical fiction is about J. P. Morgan’s personal librarian, Belle da Costa Greene, the Black American woman who was forced to hide her true identity and pass as white in order to leave a lasting legacy that enriched our nation, from New York Times bestselling authors Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray.
Copies of the book are available to borrow from the library. Discussion will be hybrid. You can join in person at the library or on Zoom (link will be posted soon).
