"This Darkness Will Never End" - Translator Jeanne Bonner on Writer Edith Bruck
Literary translator Jeanne Bonner will read from her translation, This Darkness Will Never End, a short story collection written in Italian by Hungarian-born writer Edith Bruck.
She will also discuss the life and work of this living literary legend, who after surviving the Holocaust relocated to Italy and has been publishing works of literature inspired by this brutal experience for more than a half-century. Bruck is one of about 245,000 remaining survivors of the Shoah, worldwide.
Bonner works as an editor and teaches writing occasionally at Wesleyan University.
