Western MA Humanist Guest Speaker Dan Blinn: The Challenge of our Time - Humanism in the Age of Trump

This month, we will enjoy a presentation by Attorney Dan Blinn: "The Challenge of our Time: Humanism in the Age of Trump.” Dan will address and offer some suggested answers to the following questions: What does it mean to be a Humanist in America when so many of the administration's policies are antithetical to our values? How can we find common ground and mutual respect when interacting with Trump supporters? How can we find purpose and fulfillment in the face of rising Trumpism?

Dan is a consumer rights attorney who has been recognized by the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Fair Housing Center with pro bono awards, recognizing his work on behalf of the poor in Connecticut. He was recently recognized by the American Humanist Association for his work as a humanist activist and organizer when he was presented with the President's Award at the Annual AHA Conference last month in Las Vegas. Dan is also the founding President of Hartford Area Humanists and he has generously served our community for many years as a humanist celebrant.

A Meetup discussion group for local humanists, agnostics, and atheists. Low key and friendly - all are welcome.
