Community Conversations: Community Divides Reading Discussion

Join us for a quarterly discussion group on four themes: racial justice (fall 2018), community divides (winter 2019), climate change (spring 2019), and safety & justice (summer 2019). Using newspaper and magazine articles as our jumping off points, we'll dig into these challenging topics. Articles are linked below, and hard copies are available to the right of the reference desk by the other book discussion group books. Read all or some of the articles, and bring your thoughts and questions to share!

In March, we'll be discussing the following two articles are community divides, specifically health care and gentrification:

Pasulka, N. (February 2018). Within Reach: the Transgender Community Fights for Health CareHarpers.

Hazan, E. (March-April 2010). Faces of ParisNew Left Review, 62.
