THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON FACEBOOK LIVE. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/Forbes.Library/ at the date and time of the performance to watch it live!
"Traditions of Chinese Acrobatics" is a one-woman acrobatic performance. Li Liu performs hand balancing, plate spinning, ribbon dancing, diabolos and foot juggling. Educational connections are made with the Chinese language and culture. Li explains some of the rituals of Chinese New Year, teaches the audience some basic Chinese phrases, and encourages them to think about what it might have been like to grow up in a different time and place.
Li Liu's appearance is brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
