Knit Together: A Zoom Knitting Workshop
During the cold winter months, how would you like to learn a cozy new hobby? Forbes Library and WEBS Yarn Store invite people ages 9 and up to "Knit Together"- a Zoom knitting workshop for beginners consisting of six one-hour sessions. The group will meet on Zoom every Monday night from 7-8pm from January 25-March 8, except on President’s Day. Participants will receive a free project bag with knitting needles, yarn, measuring tape, and handouts-everything needed to get started!
First you'll learn to knit a practice piece or swatch. Then you may knit a headband, bracelet, purse, or pillow. You'll learn about where yarn comes from and how it's made. This workshop is geared for children but adults are also welcome to register. WEBS teacher, Ruth Manna, will lead the workshop.
Space is limited to the first 15 registrants. *Please only register if you are age 9+ and can commit to attending at least 5 of the 6 sessions.* After registering using the form below, you may pick up your kit beginning Tuesday, January 12 from the holds shelf under your name during the library’s self-service hours.
Knit Together is brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
