Knit Together: A Zoom Knitting Workshop-2nd Session!

Knit Together: A Zoom Knitting Workshop-2nd Session!

During the cold winter months, how would you like to learn a cozy new hobby? Forbes Library and WEBS Yarn Store invite people ages 9 and up to "Knit Together"- a Zoom knitting workshop for beginners consisting of six one-hour sessions. The group will meet on Zoom every Monday afternoon from 3:30-4:30pm from March 22-May 3, except on Patriot’s Day (April 19). Participants will receive a free project bag with knitting needles, yarn, measuring tape, and handouts-everything needed to get started!

First you'll learn to knit a practice piece or swatch. Then you may knit a headband, bracelet, purse, or pillow. You'll learn about where yarn comes from and how it's made. This workshop is geared for children but adults are also welcome to register. WEBS teacher, Ruth Manna, will lead the workshop.

Space is limited to the first 15 registrants. *Please only register if you are age 9+ and can commit to attending at least 5 of the 6 sessions.* After registering using the form below, you may pick up your kit beginning Friday, February 26 from the holds shelf under your name during the library’s self-service hours. Your email address will be shared with the knitting instructor so that she can send you information and updates during the session.

Knit Together is made possible through CARES Act funding to the Institute for Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
