The Whalemobile Presents: The Tale of the Tail of a Humpback Whale!
In honor of Mammals Week for Summer Reading, we're excited to host a special virtual presentation from Cynde McInnis of the Whalemobile! Please fill in the registration form below to receive the Zoom link and password.
The Tale of the Tail of a Humpback Whale
This 1-hour virtual program is a tale about one of Cynde's favorite humpback whales-Nile. She was born in 1987, and Cynde has seen her almost every year that she has been whale watching--since 1994! Cynde will share why she is her favorite and how scientists study humpbacks (by the patterns on their tails). Then we'll "virtually" go inside a life-sized model of Nile to learn about how humans and whales are similar! In the end, we will discuss actions we can take to help protect whales! (This program is for students going into 1st through 6th grade.)
