Wingmasters Presents: The World of Owls Video and Live Virtual Q&A on Zoom!
In celebration of our Summer Reading program's Bird Week, we're thrilled to host Wingmasters on Zoom! The program will begin with a video and then be followed by a live virtual Q&A where we'll get to meet two live birds! The intended audience for this presentation is ages 5+. Please register using the form below.
The program begins with a 22-minute long, pre-recorded program that shows how owls use their specialized powers of sight, camouflage, hearing and flight to survive and thrive. A wealth of fact and folklore about these masters of the night explains the natural and unnatural history of owls. The owls featured in this program are all native to New England and include the Eastern Screech Owl, Barred Owl, Great Horned Owl and the Barn Owl. Also included is a 3-minute slideshow of photo images taken by Jim Parks over the last 30 years. The video will be followed by a live Q&A where we'll get to meet two live birds!
