IN PERSON Science Fiction and Fantasy Discussion: Carmilla

Anyone interested in Science Fiction or Fantasy is welcome. Although we focus on this month’s selection, we will discuss any topics related to Science Fiction or Fantasy, books or movies.

This month's discussion will cover Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu.

Published in 1872 it’s a gothic novella written a quarter century before Bram Stoker about vampires. It also inspired Anne Rice, has a lesbian subtext and is centered on a character who's been referred to as "literature’s first occult detective."  It’s online in print and audio form.
