SUMMARY:CANCELLED: Local Author Showcase: LD Green\, "Battle of Whatsworse"
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a presentation and Q&A with local author LD
Green.\n\nOf the many stories written by LD Green\, it is his trilogy of
medieval thrillers that showcases his upbringing most vividly. Added to
these epic-length stories (each written in a different form of poetry) is
Green’s service in the United States Military. This combination of being
uprooted without say so\, plus the involvement in war brings together the
culmination of those who govern versus the ones who must act. This is where
LD goes to battle using a barrage of metered sentences that easily spin the
reader into these filthy fields and make them take up arms and side with
either those that control or the few who fend them off and try to lead
themselves far from the fright of what they truly know is wrong.\n\nIt is
within the first few sentences that a reader becomes hyper-aware that they
may not have read anything similar to his works. So\, the freshness of his
writing helps to curtail the seriousness of the stories. When pressed\,
Green often says\,” My books are more of an adventure ride on a full
stomach and that the reader should adjust their posture and proceed with a
sense of attention because the structure of these stories adds a realism
that can only be explained by fully engaging ...and that takes
courage”.\n\nAbout the author: LD Green is an author and filmmaker. His
early years were spent growing up in the projects in America’s winter
capital of Buffalo New York. His abrupt departure from this urban area to a
rural place in Western\, Ma set the stage for his understanding of
differences in topography and humanity. Thereby setting the stage for his
conflicting and sometimes stark definitive descriptions of language and
living while always highlighting the variance in human nature and often
 clashing cultures.
